Faisalabad, also known as Manchester of Pakistan, is famous for being actively participative with its talents on all arenas be it cricket, football and now more recently music.
Thousands gathered at the venue, with as many as 2000 contestants competed to get ahead in the race for being the first ‘Pakistani Idol’. The show is gaining popularity to a whole new level on the social media sites. The first round of auditions attracted a huge crowd in Islamabad and Peshawar, all determined and confident to become the first Pakistan Idol.After Islamabad and Peshawar, came the turn for the people of Faisalabad. Pakistan Manchester has previously produced names like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rahat Fareh Ali Khan and Zia Mohyeddin for the industry..Many exciting characters have shown up in the auditions and many more came from Faisalabad, owever it might be too early to say if the city has given the nation some of the final faces of the Pakistan Idol.
The franchise now heads for Lahore, after which it is planned to station in Multan and Sukkr before coming to its final destinations, Karachi – where the show is also planning to shot the first season.Lahore Auditions will begin from 28th September. The two day long auditions will scrutinize the Lahoris voice and confidence by the Kingpins of the music industry. Faisalabad and Islamabad have already given a warm welcome to “Pakistan Idol”, now its Lahore’s turn to steal the show.
