Toshiba added two new ultraportable notebooks, 11.6 inches Toshiba Satellite T210 and 13.3 inches Toshiba Satellite T230. Most of the specifications for these two models are identical. Thus, for each of them a choice of three processors with low power consumption: Intel Pentium U5400 (1,2 GHz), Intel Core i3-330UM (1,2 GHz) and Intel Celeron U3400 (1,06 GHz). The maximum amount of RAM DDR3 – to 8 GB, hard disk – up to 500 GB.

Asus introduced the new netbooks Eee PC 1015P and 1015E made on the Intel Pine Trail hardware platform. At the request of the buyer the amount of RAM can be increased up to 2 GB and the hard drive capacity – up to 250 or 320 GB.
Display 10.1-inch diagonal has a standard resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels. In the arsenal of devices – the wireless adapter and Bluetooth Wi-Fi, card reader with support for formats MMC / SD, 0,3-megapixel webcam, three USB-ports and analog D-Sub connector for the external monitor. The record battery life – up to 13.5 h. The role of the software platform is operating system Windows 7.

The new Dell laptop is the first to feature the new series of AMD. New Dell Inspiron M301z has a starting price of $ 999 with a 1.3GHz processor dual-core Athlon II Neo K325 or the optional 1.5GHz Neo K625, 1.333 MHz DDR3 memory from 2GB up to 4GB supported and a 320GB 7,200 RPM hard drive.

Linkbook the creation of South African company Vodacom is a surprising netbook using Freescale PowerPC processor instead of Intel Atom. Linkbook is ready and offers the same functions as an Intel device. The Linkbook also offers a 3G modem, SIM card slot, 16GB of flash storage, and 256MB of RAM. It has an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel TFT screen, 2 USB ports, mic and headphone jacks and a camera.
The Linkbook will run on an open-source, Linux-based operating system. It will also come with several open source programmes pre-installed, such as the multiplatform and multilingual office suite Open Office. Pricing details have not been revealed yet.
The company Pioneer Computers provide an inexpensive Netbook called DreamBook Lite E10. This 10,1-inch model is built on the ARM processor, VIA-8505 with a frequency of 533 MHz and running Windows CE operating system or Android. The display resolution of 1024×600 pixels is a netbook.
The RAM and flash storage in a small DreamBook Lite E10 is 128 MB and 2 GB, respectively. For file storage, you can also use a memory card SD. Other characteristics are more or less familiar to netbooks: 10/100 Ethernet, Wireless Adapter Wi-Fi 802.11b / g, 0,3 megapixel web camera and an optional 3G modem. DreamBook Lite E10 Battery lasts for three hours in offline mode on one charge. The cost of the device is low – $ 173.6.

Dell Streak Tablet PC with 16:9 screens from 7 to 10 inches appeared on web to make its first impression. Currently there are no official information on hardware but these devices should share the architecture-based processor and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Android operating system already used for the Streak 5-inch, later renamed Mini 5. Dell Streak of 7 and 10 inches respectively are expected to end 2010 and early 2011.
Acer Aspire One 521 is AMD-powered netbook with a 10.1 inch LCD display, will feature the AMD V105 processor. It is clocked at 1.2GHz and comes with 512KB L2 Cache, a TDP of 9W and DDR3 support. The Aspire One 521 will also feature an AMD M880G chipset and ATI Radeon HD4225 graphics, plus HDMI out and Bluetooth 3.0.
Thats about it on the specifications so far, although it will most probably feature 1GB of RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, and probably Windows 7 Starter Edition. Battery life should be around the 7-hour mark. It will also come with a new compact power adaptor with interchangeable plugs called MiniGo. Pricing and availability are unknown for now, expect an announcement during Computex in early June.
