Salman Khan And Katrina Kaif Together Again!

New Delhi: Salman Khan fans are in for a treat as the star will be performing in Chicago after 7 long years. 
According to a leading daily, the show – 100 Years of Indian Cinema Concert and Awards – will be the 1st celebration of its kind worldwide – and will also include performances by Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.

The show – which will be choreographed by India`s dancing sensation Prabhu Deva - will be held at the Sears Center Arena, Hoffman Estates in Chicago from August 30 - September 1, 2013.

“Our focus is to celebrate 100 Years of Indian Cinema worldwide and beside the business meet we also plan to host an extravagant musical concert featuring leading playback singers Usha Mangeshkar, Krishna Beura and more from the Bollywood Industry who would mesmerize the audiences with a musical journey from 1913 till present,” Sudesh Sonawane of Entertainment Synergies said.

“The event will also showcase performances by Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and other leading Bollywood celebrities being choreographed by Prabhu Deva at the Sears. But the main attraction of the event will be the performance of Bollywood`s superstar Salman Khan. The event will culminate with a live award ceremony honouring Bollywood legends,” he added.

In praise of Salman, he also added that “Rarely do we see a superstar like Salman. He`s ruled the box office along with the hearts of millions of fans worldwide for over 2 decades. From ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ to ‘Dabangg’ 2, one thing has remained constant and that is the Salman Khan mania. He`s Bollywood`s very own megastar and it`s only fitting that Bollywood`s biggest superstar is a part of 100 Years of Indian Cinema and Awards celebration!”

Recently, while attending the 17th Annual Star Screen Awards, Salman Khan got mischievous with his ex-lover Katrina Kaif. 

Talking to a news daily, a source present at the glittering award function said, “Salman was sitting outside his van when Katrina had finished her performance and crossed him to reach her vanity van parked next to his. Katrina thought that Salman`s mischievous comment was for her. Salman called out to her warmly and asked her to join him. When she came, Salman got up, hugged her and even kissed her on the cheek in full view of everyone. It was obvious by the act that Sallu and Kat were very relaxed towards each other."
However, fun started when Kat got up to return to her van. “After catching up on each other`s lives for a few minutes, Kat decided she had to change out of her costume. As she started walking away, Salman in his usual mischievous style suddenly called out to Katrina, `abhi kiske saath hai tu?,`” said the source.

Apparently, Katrina was stunned by Salman’s comments but was startled when the actor quickly gestured towards her bodyguard, signifying that he had addressed the question to her bodyguard and not to her.

“Salman asked the bodyguard again `ab kiske saath hai tu?` with a huge grin on his face thus averting what could have been a big public showdown!,” added the source.

Now that’s Salman Khan at his wittiest best. What say Katrina?

They may not be a couple anymore, but Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan are still together, so what if only on Google's most-searched list. The two topped the search engine's annual list of the most popular celebrities on the Internet in 2010.

 Kat, who was also the most-searched celebrity during the last two years, retained the top spot, with Salman Khan bagging the second place. The results are not surprising, while Kat's item song Sheila Ki Jawaani, has become quite the rage, Salman delivered the biggest hit of the year, inDabangg.
"It's a wonderful thing to be connected to your audience. As an actor, it's always encouraging to know you are on people's minds," says Kat.


The Google Zeitgeist India 2010 list is based on search queries that show most popular searches among Indians on the net. Sallu's co-star from Dabangg, Sonakshi Sinha, bagged the top spot on the fastest-rising Bollywood celebrity list. "It's a great feeling. Too much is happening too soon, and it is a bit overwhelming, but I am trying to take everything in stride. I am happy that I have been accepted and appreciated. What more can a newcomer ask for?" says Sinha.

Vinay Goel from Google India says, "Katrina bagging the top slot was not a surprise. Ranbir Kapoor, who is on the ninth spot - ahead of Number 10, Shah Rukh Khan - has made an impressive entry. Hrithik Roshan on number seven is also a change as he was not on the list last year."

While Kat tops the list of popular celebrity image searches too, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan comes a close second. Surprisingly, South Indian actor Namitha is in the sixth place, ahead of Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood star, Shahid Kapoor! Even though it has been four years since they got hitched, wedding pictures of Abhi-Ash are the ninth most searched in the image list.

Are Sallu And Katrina Going Strong In Their Relationship?

Are Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif going still in their relationship? This is the biggest question for everyone. Everyone is trying to speculate about them after the much controversies and rumors aboutKatrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor.
Salman was in the middle of a conversation about his upcoming flick Veer in the Mehboob Studios where actress Katrina Kaif was shooting for her own endorsement. Was that a coincidence or the couple go everywhere together possible?

Zarine Khan: I Do Not Resemble Katrina Kaif

Zarine Khan, who is making her big screen debut with Salman Khan's dream project 'Veer', takes comparisons with Katrina Kaif as "compliment" but says she does not resemble the 'Namaste London' star. "She is beautiful. I have seen her, met her a couple of times. Even being a girl, I could not take my eyes off her. But, we are two different people. She has made her mark for herself, I have just begun. When I look at myself in the mirror I don't see myself resembling her," Zarine said in an interview. The model-turned-actress, who is playing a Rajasthani princess in the period drama, said Katrina often came on the sets of 'Veer'. "She gave me lot of advise on make up and other professional tips," Zarine said. The actress has been compared to Katrina Kaif and reportedly played her body double in Subhash Ghai's 'Yuvvraaj'. The newcomer said she had to put on 8 to 10 kgs weight to look the character of a Rajasthani princess. "Putting on weight was the easiest thing to do before facing the camera. I was 54 kgs before I was signed for the film," Zarine said. She said extensive research of the period when the film was set revealed that the queens and princesses were not skinny, but well-built. "So, I had to look that way. Now that the film is complete and ready for release, I have to get back to shape otherwise I could face problems for my future projects.

I have to lose some 3 to 4 kgs more," she said. Zarine said she was a bright student growing up in Mumbai and aspired to be a doctor. "I was a tomboy who loved to ride bikes. But, financial crisis in the family did not allow me to complete my education and had to do small modelling assignments to run the house," she recalled. "Nobody would remember the work I did nor recognise me in them. Now I want to do bigger things in life," she said. The actress said "Veer" was unplanned and Zarine recalled the time when she was called by Mukta Arts on the sets of 'Yuvvraaj'. "I did not ask why I was called on the sets, but I got to meet Salman. When I asked him for an autograph, he said, 'no sweetheart, you will sign autographs for the world'," she said recalling her meeting with Salman. The actor, who has turned scriptwriter for the movie, recommended her name to the makers. Salman plays a Pindari soldier in the film, which is set in the set in 1875. The film will hit theatres on January 22. Zarine, a self-confessed fan of Salman says after a bad spell, good times have come to her now. "I got to romance my idol on screen in a film that has been written by him. No matter what is written about him, Salman has a heart of gold and a thorough gentleman," she said. She was auditioned for the role along with many girls."Not all looked good in both the Indian and western look, the character has to portray. I fitted the bill well," she said. She said even though she would love to work in romantic movies, she understands that she can't get choosy. "I have no knowledge about anything related to the film industry. I will take advice of people who have helped me so far. I am getting offers, but will decide on my next project after the release of my debut film."

Sallu And Kat Rule Aaj Tak Awards!

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and 3 Idiotswere the big winners at the Aaj Tak Movie Masala Awards 2009, which were announced on Tuesday. Completely audience driven, the winners were adjudged by viewers through SMS votes and online polling.

Salman walked away with the best actor (male) award for his role in the Boney Kapoor- produced action blockbuster,Wanted, which marked the Bollywood debut of Prabhu Deva as director.

Salman scored as an undercover cop who infiltrates the mafia with the mission of finishing off the underworld, recording 34 per cent of the total votes.

Viewers voted for him over the likes of Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.

Salman's real- life girlfriend Katrina Kaif was voted the best actress (female) for her role in Rajkumar Santoshi's superhit comedy, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The comic book rom- com cast Katrina opposite Ranbir. Katrina, the reigning glam goddess right now, polled 39 per cent votes, beating Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherji, Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra.


Katrina is out of the country and couldn't come to personally collect the award.



The trophy for the best director went to Raj Kumar Hirani for 3 Idiots. The film, starring Aamir, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena, brilliantly narrated the coming- of- age story of three friends in their engineering college days.

Hirani recorded a whopping 41 per cent of the votes. The amicable director wittily summed up his mood on winning with the famous dialogue from his own film: "All is well," adding: "I think things will only get better. We were not expecting such a huge response. Right now, we have reasons to be happy. I feel if you can touch people's hearts, it's a big thing."

Hirani's 3 Idiots, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, was also voted the best film of 2009. The film, which opened last week, has grossed over Rs 100 crore. The industry estimates it could be among Bollywood's biggest hits of all times. 3 Idiots raked in an overwhelming 42 per cent of the votes, beating films such as Wake Up Sid, Kaminey, Paa and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. "People called me an idiot so many times that I thought let's change the meaning of the word. I don't hear people calling me 'idiot' any more," said Chopra.

Salman Khan By The Side Of Ill Kat

The rumours of Katrina Kaif calling off her relationship with her long time boyfriend Salman Khan seems to be just a figment of imagination of some idle brains, as they were like inseparable souls at a time when they need each other.

Salman has been with Katrina all the time, as she is not in good health. It is said that Katrina was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after complaining of abdominal pain. She is said to have gone through surgery after being diagnosed with appendix.


Sources said that Salman was in the hospital along with his mother Salma and sisters when the operation was done. Salman even posed for photographs with the hospital staffs after much persistence. It shows that the Khan family considers Katrina as its household.
It may be recalled that Katrina has been in bad health for quite sometime now. She was recently diagnosed with jaundice and low haemoglobin count. She braved it and performed at a show in Dubai and even attended a wedding of Salman’s family friend. Hard work seems to have taken a toll on her health.
