Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 is a MID device of 5-inch touchscreen with the resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It’s hardware uses a Freescale processor i.MX515 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 architecture-based processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB of flash memory expandable with microSD memory cards, USB, Bluetooth connectivity and WiFi 802.11b / g.
The Ubuntu 9.04 OS is overlaid with a custom Sharp interface. Preloaded apps include FireFox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice. The device will read XMDF format books, with 101 e-books pre-installed. The device measures 150 × 90 × 21.3 mm, weighs 280 g and has a battery life of 6 hours. The PC-T1 will be on sale in Japan from next month for ¥ 47,000, about 380 €.
